Email Marketing Technical Support Analyst

Position: Permanent
Location: East Croydon, South London

We're looking for a support analyst to assist dotMailer clients in composing and sending their email marketing emails. Other tasks will including working with our Account Management teams on special projects such as microsites and e-vouchers. You'll be working in a friendly, lively and rapidly expanding team -  however you won't be behind a faceless 'support desk'.

Part of the role will be to help support the growing internal IT infrastructure. Long-term, there are opportunities to move into development, for the right candidate.

Who we're looking for

Ideally, you'll have recently qualified in a recognised IT course or graduated from University with a relevant degree.  You'll have had some exposure to networking and be familiar with standard hardware and software platforms.
A working knowledge of HTML is an essential. Understanding terms such as POP3, SMTP, Bounce backs, deliverability and SPAM filters would be beneficial. In depth training will be provided and depending on experience the role will develop into supporting our server farm in Docklands.

We are looking for somebody who understands that being a Jack or Jill of all trades in a technical company like ours is the very best start you could have for a career in IT.  Due to the customer support nature of this role, good interpersonal skills are a must. That means a friendly 'can do' attitude is needed and a real desire to be helpful!

Must Have Skills Required:

  • Raw HTML understanding
  • Structure and ordered

It would be desirable to have experience of:

  • Dreamweaver
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • Fireworks
  • Talking to clients
  • Sys Admin skills
  • SQL server database knowledge
  • Experience with Exchange
  • Experience with POP3
  • Fireworks
  • ASP or ASP .Net programming
