Why your unsubscribers are your friends

Providing an unsubscribe link to your recipients is more than just a legal requirement.

It’s a crucial opportunity to collect customer feedback on your marketing communications, by capturing the reasons why your unsubscribers have requested to be removed.

dotMailer now includes Unsubscriber Survey

dotMailer now enables you to capture and report on this key information, by including a quick survey on your unsubscribe page. The survey asks users to identify the factors that have influenced them in their decision to unsubscribe from the email marketing piece you have sent them. It also provides the opportunity for users to tell you what kinds of email messages they find valuable.

View your reports online

To view your unsubscriber reports, go to the reporting page of dotMailer, choose your campaign, click on Remove Requests then click the Survey Reports tab towards the top of the page.

Use these reports to build a picture that identifies the weaker points in your email marketing strategy. For example, are you sending emails too frequently? Is there an issue with the relevancy of your targeting and content, or with the data itself? And which kind of emails should you be sending.
