Managing responses

dotMailer includes a fully-automatic 'unsubscribe' function, as required by UK law.

What's more, you can't accidentally re-mail users who have previously unsubscribed to your mailings if, for instance, you have their name stored on a different version of your email database. This gives you full protection under anti-spam legislation.

Undelivered emails ('bounce backs') are also dealt with automatically. You can set thresholds for the number of times dotMailer tries to re-send a bounced email; 'hard' and 'soft' bounce backs (e.g. 'Out of Office Autoreplies' and invalid email addresses) are notified accordingly. dotMailer can automatically unsubscribe addresses after a given number of unsuccessful deliveries.

You can include a specific 'forward to a friend' link in your emails - dotMailer manages this process for you and gives you a full report back. Forward to a friend emails are not charged for.

Any replies to your email can be set to forward to an address of your choice or sifted onscreen via a webmail-type system.
